Sleep through the night. The guide to fewer diaper changes and drier nights.

Sleep through the night. The guide to fewer diaper changes and drier nights.

Sleep isn't a luxury. It's the fuel of parenthood.

A full night's sleep changes everything. Your mood. Your patience. The energy to play trains for the fiftieth time. Yet many parents wake up several times a night for diaper changes that aren't really needed. This guide is about how to get more uninterrupted hours, for both you and your baby.

Why nighttime diaper changes are often unnecessary

Babies sleep best when they can sleep undisturbed. Every change turns on lights, wakes up the body, and makes it harder to fall back asleep. As long as the diaper stays leak-proof and the skin stays dry, you usually don't need to change in the middle of the night. The key is a diaper that lasts all night.

Bammies bamboo diapers keep your baby dry for up to 12 hours. Bamboo fibers absorb up to three times more liquid than regular cotton and wick moisture away from the skin. That means fewer changes, drier mornings, and a baby who keeps on sleeping.

How to make the diaper last all night

Nighttime leaks are usually about size or fit, not a bad diaper. Here are our best tips:

  • Fluff out the leak guards around the legs. The elastic should stand out, not be folded inward.
  • Pull the diaper up high in the back so it sits high at the waist.
  • Check the fit at the waist. About two fingers of space is just right.
  • Go up a size at night. Leaks at the back or between the legs are often a sign that the next size up fits better.
  • Try a tape diaper at night. Tape diapers often fit more snugly than pants at night. If your child is between two sizes, choose the larger size in tape diapers.

Soft on the skin, all night long

A dry night isn't just about leaks. The layer closest to the skin is 100% bamboo, soft, breathable, and free from perfume and lotion. Parents tell us their children avoid the redness and rashes other diapers caused, and that the difference is especially noticeable in warm weather. Gentler on the skin and fewer leaks, as one parent wrote after switching from regular plastic diapers. And if the diaper does cause a rash, you get your money back.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a bamboo diaper absorb?

Bamboo fibers absorb roughly three times more than cotton. Together with the core, the diaper keeps your baby dry for up to 12 hours.

How do I know the diaper fits right?

The waistband should sit at waist height without being tight, and the leg cuffs should rest snugly against the skin without leaving red marks. You should be able to fit two fingers inside the waistband.
